New Projects

The LUAB is looking into some new services for students in the Perkins/Bostock Libraries.
Currently members are investigating starting Saturday food service in the Von Der Heyden Pavilion. Members are discussing food service contracts with Library Administrators to see if this is possible.

Members have also looked into changing Library vending machine options to include healthier items. This project is underway and the board is looking for student suggestions for new vending items. Please feel free to comment at this blog with any preferences.

As always, please feel free to submit comments about desired library programs on this site. The board is here for you!

Purpose of the Board

The Duke Libraries Undergraduate Advisory Board is a fledgling group created by the Library Administration in order to increase student input on library affairs. This year the group is made up of sophomores, juniors, and seniors from a variety of academic backgrounds who all have a vested interest in improving the library experience for undergraduates. The board serves as a sounding board for new administration-driven library programs as well as a place where students can propose new projects and improve existing services.
